Terms of Service
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms apply to the Cinder Discord bot and the website and dashboard at cinder.bot (together, "Cinder"). By adding Cinder to a server, using its commands, or logging in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Cinder.
Cinder is free
Every feature is free. There are no paid plans, purchases or premium tiers.
Discord's rules come first
You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when you use Cinder, including Discord's minimum age for your country. Cinder is not made by or affiliated with Discord.
Server owners and staff
If you add Cinder to a server or change its settings, you are responsible for how it is set up there: which features are on, what messages it sends, which roles and permissions it uses, and what it logs. Make sure your members know about features that record their activity, such as logging, tickets, modmail and leveling.
What you may not do
- Use Cinder to harass, spam, scam or harm anyone, or to break any law.
- Try to break, overload or get around Cinder’s limits, permissions or security, or access data that isn’t yours.
- Use bugs or exploits, for example to get coins, XP or items you shouldn’t have. Report them in the support server instead.
- Automate Cinder in ways it isn’t meant to be used, or copy or resell it as your own service.
- Use the /ai command to create content that is illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or meant to deceive people.
AI answers
The /ai command answers with text written by AI models from other companies. Answers can be wrong, out of date or offensive. Don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
Coins, XP and items
Coins, XP, levels, items and other rewards in Cinder have no real-world value. They can't be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and they can change, be reset or be removed, for example when a server resets its economy or we fix a bug.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You let Cinder store and show it as needed to run the features you use, such as embeds, welcome images, tickets and transcripts. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored and for how long.
Availability
Cinder is provided "as is". We try to keep it running and your settings safe, but we can't promise it will always be online, free of bugs, or that data such as settings, backups or transcripts can never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Ending access
You can stop using Cinder at any time by removing it from your server. We may limit or block a user or a server from Cinder, or change or stop any feature, especially when these terms are broken.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Cinder and the people who run it are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or anything members or staff do in your server, including actions taken with Cinder's moderation tools. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Cinder after a change means you accept the new terms.
